Abstract: Optical diagnostics of gas-dynamic parameters on the model surface may be realized by cholesteric liquid crystals. For digital processing of video records with panoramic color response of LCs on external disturbances (skin friction shear stress and temperature) the special software is required. The possibilities of qualitative and quantitative diagnostics by means of software developed for aero- and thermos-physical studies and IDE Lazarus will be outlined in the paper
