Abstract: The result of visual analysis is the answer to the question of the research, obtained with the help of the visual model within the restrictions. The effectiveness of visual analysis increases in the case of an integrated approach in visual modeling. An integrated approach to visual analysis of data implies a balanced and focused participation of all relevant components for the result of the analysis.
Within this approach, three main components of the model are identified in the visual analysis: functional, semiotic and psycho-emotional. To build a visual model with predefined capabilities, it is necessary to determine the manner and degree of participation of each of these components. The work proposes a system of rules that systematize processes of creating and using visual models with a given level of visual analysis effectiveness.
