Abstract: The article presents the results of computational and experimental studies of the processes of shock-wave loading of transparent and opaque solids using two methods: theoretical - based numerical simulation on a regular three-dimensional grid using an explicit solver in a connected Lagrangian-Eulerian formulation, experimental – using the method of shadow photography.
