Abstract: The historical and theoretical researches of architectural heritage are hard work associated with archival research, search the information in the literature, photographing and measurements of monuments, making sketch plans and implementation by him of the drawings, detection a spatial and three-dimensional features, identification objects-similar, implementation the grapho-analytical analysis, and often virtual reconstruction a monuments of architecture and history. More of this works are connected with 2D and 3D representations the process of research and its results.
Traditionally, if researches a single monument, the results of the work, usually presented in the form of text and image sequences. If investigated several monuments, it is their classification and grapho-analytical analysis, visual comparison, identify common and individual architectural, spatial, structural characteristics, decorative items, etc. In this case, as the results of investigations, usually, it is not enough only graphic images of individual monuments and to the joint representation of similar views (plans, elevations, three-dimensional images of different objects.
If researches the cultural heritage of a certain time period of the whole region, as the results can take not only photos and drawings of objects during their life cycle, site plan, ground plans and sectional and structures drawings, video cameras, and sometimes 3D model of the virtual reconstruction and drawings of the project of reconstruction, but also maps of the regions, as at present, and in earlier time periods. Visualization of the results of such a large and complex scientific research that is associated with the architectural heritage of the North Caucasus X - XVII centuries is presented in this paper in the form of an information retrieval system containing a graphical and textual information about the architectural heritage of the region and allows you to search various research results on a wide range of search features.
The system consists of a control program, database, graphics and text data, block fill and block the view information. The system allows you to create a query to find information about the object of cultural heritage. The region of location of the monument (Krasnodar territory, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Abkhazia etc.) choose from a list of specific settlement or city, you can indicate on the map that appears after you select the region, or to indicate in the list. At the same time in the corresponding window appears an ancient map, which can also be selected settlements.
For information about a specific object, you must select it in the list, which contains only objects of the specified settlement. Information about the object contains in the upper part of the screen the text data, and in the bottom - thumbnails, the choice of which allows you to view the image on a larger scale. You allows to view all pictures of the monument, as well as video clips and virtual reconstruction (if any) with help individual menu items. The menu item "Analysis" allows you to view the same objects in accordance with the proposed classification and to compare their architectural form spatial and three dimensional structures and construction system.
